ADULT GRAPPLING

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, No-Gi Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, Judo

The American Top Team Grappling program is designed to hone students’ abilities for both competition and self defense. Run by Bob Deluca, BJJ black belt under Ricardo Liborio & Judo black belt under Sensei German Valasquez, the ATT grappling program offers the best training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, No Gi Jiu Jitsu, Judo, and Wrestling in the Asheville area.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a martial art focused on ground fighting and submission holds. First developed by the Gracie brothers as a self defense system, BJJ quickly became a sport practiced around the world. Jiu Jitsu is now considered an essential tenet of MMA in addition to being a standalone combat sport. At American Top Team Asheville, we offer around 25 classes a week for adults in both gi and no gi Jiu Jitsu.

Gi brazilian jiu jitsu

Gi Jiu Jitsu

Gi Jiu Jitsu is a style of Jiu Jitsu utilizing the gi, a traditional robe used for grips and submissions. At American Top Team Asheville, we offer women’s self defense, fundamentals, and all-levels BJJ classes in the gi. All classes are taught by upper belts overseen by fourth degree black belt under Ricardo Liborio, Bob Deluca.

Judo

Judo

Judo is an olympic sport originating from Japan. Judokas seek to throw, pin, and/or submit their opponent. The ATT Asheville Judo program is directed by Master Bob DeLuca: US Open Champion and Black Belt since 2014 at Ki Itsu Sai National Olympic Training Center under Sensei German Valasquez (Olympian and Red Belt), Sensei Johnny Prado (Red Belt), and Sensei Miguel Delgado (Former Cuban National Team Member).

no gi jiu jitsu

No-Gi Jiu Jitsu

No-Gi Jiu Jitsu derives from traditional BJJ and submission Wrestling. Because No-Gi Jiu Jitsu does not utilize the gi, and therefore the gi grips, this form of Jiu Jitsu is typically faster paced than traditional Gi Jiu Jitsu.

Wrestling

Wrestling

Wrestling is a combat sport utilizing grappling techniques to takedown, submit, and/or pin an opponent. The ATT program is run by Jonathan Thompson - a decorated coach who has a strong record of producing state qualifiers and champions at the high school level.
